The LifeStyleRx Tiger Sharks team is one of the best instructional-based swim teams in the Tri Valley area. The team is under the direction of LifeStyleRx Head Coach David Tambuwun and supported by the LifeStyleRx Aquatics Staff. The team offers both a recreational and USA Swim team for swimmers age 4 to 18 years old. This framework provides opportunities for all young swimmers regardless of age or ability level. The program focuses on helping each athlete achieve their maximum potential through the development of solid fundamental stroke technique and progressive training of the key energy zones.
The LifeStyleRx Tiger Sharks is a parent supported non-profit organization offered by ValleyCare Health System. The Recreational Swim team is part of the Valley Swim League and participates in a series of dual swim meets during the summer and an end of the season championship meet. Each year the Summer Recreational team competes in approximately five dual meets with other local teams. These meets offer young swimmers the opportunity to test their skills in the water with other athletes of the same age. The competitive season for the summer recreational team culminates with the VSL Championship meet where the swimmers may test their ability against some of the best local swimmers in their age group.
